Oct.1st at 5pm I went to see This movie. It looked like a war zone...I thought perhaps it was Iraq because there was lots of sand. And army trucks...but as it progresses you notice it is a war zone...and it isn't Iraq...it's Nevada's desert land and everybody is gone and all the casinos are a ghost town. You can see the statue of Liberty, The Eiffel Tower, and the town is nothing burt sand and deserted of people. The small group of people who are with you showing you step by step are just a handful of perhaps national guard. They start digging around the buildings and they find a group of "mutants" hiding. They were full of tumors and they were starving. It seems they had eaten each other up and these were the few left. The small group killed a few and suddenly birds were everywhere....trying to eat them and those ugly mutants. AND there is a special girl who had taken this special anti-biotic or anti-virus and she was part-computer...like the bionic woman. And our group became aware of a computer that could send for her to give her help. She advised them to head for Alaska(I think)...."because it was the only virus-free" country in the world left. But they had no more food and no more gas, and knew they couldn't make it to Alaska.
Anyway...as you watch you understand that "global warming" must have parched the trees and the grass and most of the animals and people and rivers...and the mutants were alive because they ate the people as they needed to just to stay alive. There was one scientist left and he was Roger Moore. I kept you on the edge of your seat because of the freightening scare scenes and noise. Julianna.
