In Finland in 1971 two-forestry workers reported seeing a UFO with extending stilt-like legs from it's undercarriage to land in a nearby clearing. A small creature allegedly dressed in a one piece green suit and helmet with rounded stump-like arms approached them. One of the men made a threatening gesture to the humanoid with his chainsaw while the other grabbed at the being. However, on grabbing the creature his hands were badly burned. The humanoid retreated to the craft, and flew away.

On October 12^th 1963 Eugenio Douglas had a bizarre encounter with a UFO's occupants in Cordoba, Argentina. Douglas parked his truck next to a huge metal craft and left its comparative safety out of curiosity. He was soon confronted by robot like silver beings about 4 metres in height. Douglas shot at the silver beings before getting back in his truck and driving off at speed, but the UFO pursued and allegedly swooped him once before leaving him alone.

Tall beings have been described before with robes about them, not unlike monks, and small silver suited beings are also common, but tall silver robot like beings are rarely reported.

These robed beings are relatively common and some label them as supernatural ghosts whilst others believe them to be extraterrestrial. They have also been reported in `life after death` experiences. A classic case was back in 1954 and is a well-documented example of the robed creature. It happened at 6:30pm on the 10^th of October at Pournoy-la-Chetive, France, when three children said they saw a `shiny machine` land and a small being about 4ft in height emerge in a Cossack hat. Unlike other robed being cases, this creature exposed its face which was hairy with big eyes. The creature apparently had something like a torch with it. When it saw the children it uttered something in a strange language, then made off to the craft, which then fled the scene.

On the 12^th of November 1963 in Kent England, two courting couples were walking home near Sandling Park in Saltwood. They saw a bright light hovering over nearby trees in the form of a golden oval. Out of the UFO came a large black humanoid figure with wings and no head. Their natural reaction was to run for their lives. Other winged humanoid figures have appeared before witnesses, sometimes labelled as angelic beings, or as in the case of the West Virginia apparition, called `Mothman` because of the obvious similarities to an overgrown moth.

This strange entity is currently rampaging across Hispanic quarters. Said to have originated from Puerto Rico and savaged much of the wildlife, it has now made its way to Miami, on mainland USA. The animal looks like a `Grey` crossbred with a porcupine. It has red eyes, a long face, and claws, stands on its hind legs and has spines on its back. Obscure mutilations left in the wake of the creature attacking farm animals for food have provided evidence apart from the associated sightings of the creature. Puerto Rico has had its fair share of UFO activity and some think the link is undeniable, while others believe it to be an escaped military experiment from a base on the island, which was hit by a violent storm.

The Pleiades is a star system which self-proclaimed alien contactee, Eduard Meier from Switzerland declared in the 1960`s was the home of a visiting alien race of blonde-haired, blue-eyed beings which were visiting Earth, and in particular, visiting him. These beings were often related to as the `Nordics`. To prove his claims he produced several photographs of the spacecraft, which he says were piloted by the beings. However, he has been called a fraud by at least one investigating group. But Meier is not the only contactee to report these beings. Adamski also described these people in the years preceding Meier`s testimonies, but he claimed these people were in fact from Venus (which at the time was not known to be inhabitable). Even today abductees claim these blonde people are taking them on space ships, even having sex with them, and usually warning them of impending disasters. Travis Walton, allegedly abducted for just under a week, describes these blonde characters working alongside the grey aliens.

As strange as these tales sound, the witnesses exist, and in some cases such as the Chupacabras with the trail of animal mutilations, and the burnt witness in the Finland encounter, physical evidence corroborates with the sightings. It's interesting to notice that these creature sightings are usually humanoid in form. Is the basic human form the universal end of evolution or is this a clue in relation to the expectations of the witness as to what an alien should look like?
